Free AI Video Generator: What You Can Make for Free, and What Costs After

Last updated: ·

You can use FacelessCast's AI video generator free, and this page says exactly how far free goes. Free, for everyone: the studio chat, the plan of your video with its exact price, a storyboard that draws every scene of an AI video before it is made, and your first video, written and voiced by AI and cut from real stock footage, up to 2 minutes at 1080p, with a small watermark and no card needed. Not free: AI video where every scene is a generated clip that moves, talking characters and more videos, which start at $5 for 100 credits or $10 a month. Below: what each free part gives you, why generated video is never free for long anywhere, what free AI video tools usually limit, and the cheapest way on.

Is there a free AI video generator?

Yes, many AI video generators can be used free, but almost none make AI video free without limits, because every generated clip runs on expensive graphics processors. So "free" usually means one of three things: a free part of the tool (writing, planning, previews), a free sample (a few videos or credits), or free output with limits (a watermark, low resolution, short length, a queue or no commercial use).

None of these is a trick when it is said plainly. What matters is knowing which one you are getting before you spend an afternoon on it. FacelessCast offers the first two: the planning is free every time, and your first video is free.

What is free on FacelessCast?

Four things cost nothing and need no card:

  • The studio chat: describe the video in your own words, ask questions, change your mind. The studio answers in the language you write in.
  • The plan and its price: before anything is made, a plan card shows the length, frame, voice, kind of scenes and the exact price, so you never pay to find out.
  • A storyboard: for an AI video, one sheet that draws the characters and every scene before the video is made, within a daily limit, with or without a plan.
  • Your first video: written and voiced by AI, cut from real stock footage, up to 2 minutes at 1080p, with captions and a small "Made with FacelessCast" watermark. One per account and e-mail address.

What does the free first video include?

The free video is a complete video, not a demo clip. You give it a topic or paste your own script; the AI writes a script with a hook at the length you ask, up to 2 minutes, records it with a natural voice in any of 37 languages, places a licensed stock clip under every sentence, adds word-synced captions and renders a 1080p MP4 you can download, with a publish kit of titles, a description and hashtags. Music is added when you ask for it.

Two things set it apart from a paid video: it carries a small watermark, and its scenes are real stock footage rather than generated AI clips. Make it on the Stock video page, or tell the studio what it is about and choose the free option there.

Why isn't AI video free?

Because every second of it is computed. A generated scene of about six seconds runs on graphics processors for minutes, a talking scene needs a second pass to move the lips with the voice, and a one-minute AI video is about ten such clips. Every tool pays for that time, so a tool that gives AI video away free either limits it heavily or charges for it somewhere else.

FacelessCast charges for it openly: 20 credits for a clip at standard quality, 10 at draft quality, about 5 cents a credit, with the price shown before anything starts. A clip that cannot be generated is refunded, and if an AI video cannot be finished the render stops and every credit comes back, rather than a still picture being slipped in.

What do free AI video generators usually limit?

Read the limits of a free tier before you publish anything made with it. These are the common ones, and where FacelessCast stands on each:

LimitWhat it meansOn FacelessCast
WatermarkA logo on every frameSmall watermark on the free video; none on any plan
ResolutionFree output capped lowFree video at 1080p; plans up to 4K
LengthOnly a few seconds freeFree video up to 2 minutes; plans 3 to 20 minutes
Generated scenesFree credits that run out after a clip or twoAI scenes always use credits, priced before you start
Card up frontA trial that bills unless you cancelNo card for the free video; no trial that turns into a charge
Expiring creditsFree or bought credits that vanishBought credits never expire

The cheapest way to make AI video after the free part

If you want generated scenes, you do not need a subscription. The smallest step is a $5 pack of 100 credits, which never expire: enough for a 12-second AI video twice at standard quality, or a 30-second one at draft quality, which halves the cost.

If you will make videos every week, a plan is cheaper. Starter at $10 a month gives 400 credits, about a minute and a half of AI video at standard quality, plus unlimited stock-footage videos up to 3 minutes with no watermark. Creator at $19 doubles the credits; Pro at $49 and Studio at $99 add longer videos and 4K.

How to make your first video free

It takes a few minutes and no card:

  • 1. Sign up with an e-mail address or Continue with Google.
  • 2. Open the Stock video page, or tell the studio what the video is about and pick the free option.
  • 3. Write the topic, or paste your own script, which is read word for word.
  • 4. Choose the frame (vertical for Shorts, TikTok and Reels, landscape for YouTube), the voice and the caption style.
  • 5. Start it: a short video is usually ready in one to three minutes. Download the MP4 and its publish kit.

Can you post a free AI-made video on YouTube?

Yes. The free video is yours to download and post, watermark included. YouTube asks you to use its AI use setting when a video contains realistic AI-generated or altered content, such as a realistic generated scene of a real place, while AI help with the script, title or captions does not need it; check its examples against your video before you upload.

To earn on YouTube, what counts is the channel's originality, not whether the tool was free: YouTube's monetization policies exclude mass-produced, generic or repetitive content, including AI content made from generic templates.

What FacelessCast does not give away

There is no free plan and no free trial of the plans. AI-generated scenes, talking characters, 4K, videos longer than 2 minutes, a second free video and removing the watermark all need credits or a plan. We would rather say so on this page than let you find out halfway through a video.

Frequently asked questions

Is FacelessCast free?

Partly. The studio chat, the plan with its price, the storyboard and your first video (real stock footage, up to 2 minutes, small watermark, no card) are free. AI video and more videos need credits, from $5 for 100, or a plan from $10 a month.

Can I make AI videos for free without a watermark?

Not on FacelessCast: the free first video carries a small watermark. Every paid plan makes videos without one, from $10 a month.

Do I need a credit card for the free video?

No. Sign up with an e-mail address or Google and make it; there is no trial that turns into a charge.

Is the storyboard really free?

Yes. Once the studio has planned an AI video, it can draw the characters and every scene on one sheet before anything is made, free, within a daily limit, with or without a plan.

What is the cheapest way to make an AI video?

A $5 pack of 100 credits, which never expire: a 12-second AI video is about 40 credits at standard quality and half that at draft quality.

Is there a free text to video AI?

On FacelessCast, turning your text into a plan, a price and a storyboard is free, and so is your first video from real stock footage. Turning text into generated AI scenes uses credits.
